Banishing the Winter Doldrums

Can you believe it's March already?

It seems like winter just started since we didn't get hardly any snow until February this year.

My kids are itching for winter to be over and to go outside and do something new.
My daughter begged me the other day to do bubbles.  Of course it's been months since we've done anything like that.  I couldn't resist her pleas--and also realized that my son probably doesn't even know what bubbles are.  It's been too long.

So to make everyone happy we laid out a big picnic blanket.  The kids sat on the blanket and had fun blowing and popping bubbles and the blanket caught all the drips.  Everyone had a great time and when we were done I just threw the blanket into the washer.

Super easy clean-up, lots of much needed fun.

  1. Having them blow bubbles on a blanket is genius. I always worry about my floors when we do bubble indoors. Thanks for the tip!
