As promised, here's the travel toy I made for my son . . .
(Also using this tutorial.)
I was really please with how it turned out. I made this one after my daughter's doll house. Things are always so much easier the second time.
Here's the outside:
The inside (I got lazy and didn't add anything cool):
Put together, ready for play . .

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, this is so adorable! I just threw away a broken red plastic barn (from the target dollar spot a couple of years ago, so no big loss) but I still have the little animals! Definitely going to give this a try. And I'm thinking my daughters' princess polly pockets need a castle version! I'll keep you posted!

ReplyDeleteWOW! Those are a.mazing! I would love to learn how to make one for my daughter. Love your idea!
ReplyDeleteWhen my sister was little, she had a house similar to this, with little fabric people and furniture inside. She loved it, and it was soft, so if she fell asleep in the car, she would use it sort of like a pillow. I love the idea, and I think having a home made item is better. You can personalize it. I hope my mom saved that little house, I bet she and I will both want to use it when we have kids : ) I wished when I was young I had had something like this. thanks for the walk down memory lane : )
ReplyDeleteLove the fact that it can stay flat. I need to travel with it and thought I would need to sew it when I arrived, now you have solved my problem. Really nice farm house
ReplyDeletedid you put batting in your farm house? It doesn't look as poofy and I like the look of that better. you can email me at hyattwhit@hotmail.com thank for the idea!!
ReplyDeleteHi there! This is adorable!! I'm including it in my "Gifts for Boys" post. :)
