Mini Take-Along Toy Barn

As promised, here's the travel toy I made for my son . . .
(Also using this tutorial.)

I was really please with how it turned out. I made this one after my daughter's doll house. Things are always so much easier the second time.

Here's the outside:

The inside (I got lazy and didn't add anything cool):

Put together, ready for play . .

I just LOVE these little houses!

So much fun!!!

If you make one let me know. I'd love to see.

Happy sewing!

I'm linking to these parties this week.

  12. Oh my goodness, this is so adorable! I just threw away a broken red plastic barn (from the target dollar spot a couple of years ago, so no big loss) but I still have the little animals! Definitely going to give this a try. And I'm thinking my daughters' princess polly pockets need a castle version! I'll keep you posted!

  31. When my sister was little, she had a house similar to this, with little fabric people and furniture inside. She loved it, and it was soft, so if she fell asleep in the car, she would use it sort of like a pillow. I love the idea, and I think having a home made item is better. You can personalize it. I hope my mom saved that little house, I bet she and I will both want to use it when we have kids : ) I wished when I was young I had had something like this. thanks for the walk down memory lane : )
